DESCRIPTION:Pre-placement training is required for those who plan to become
  licensed foster/adoptive parents. Each session is held in a fun and relax
 ed atmosphere. The sessions are designed to help you make an informed deci
 sion about whether fostering and/or adopting is right for you.\n\nThis cou
 rse\, part of the Preservice training series\, helps learners understand t
 heir need to partner with the primary family for the child’s benefit. Th
 e importance of empathy is explored\, and learners consider child protecti
 on from the perspective of the primary family. Learners will hear about th
