Pre-placement training is required for those who plan to become licensed foster/adoptive parents. Each session is held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The sessions are designed to help you make an informed decision about whether fostering and/or adopting is right for you.

This course, part of the Preservice training series, will help learners take a realistic look at caregiving including stressors and challenging events. This course defines burnout and secondary traumatic stress and explores the risk to caregivers. Learners will understand the importance of self-care and develop a self-care plan.
