Our board of directors is made up of five to nine volunteers from diverse fields who use their backgrounds and strengths to guide our company. Each board member shares the values and mission of Focus on Youth and works behind the scenes to ensure we uphold strong ethics and good business practices.

Terrez Thomas

Terrez Thomas is an elementary school principal and an adjunct professor at Xavier University. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a devoted husband and father of five children – three of whom were adopted with support from Focus on Youth.
Debra Meyer

Debra Meyer has extensive experience in developing an organization’s Human Resources strategy to align with business strategy and develop/implement programs, project, policies and practices to support company mission and objectives. Deb enjoys community mentoring and involvement with youth and family services
Clint Morton

Clint is Chief Lending Officer and Senior Vice President with Farmers & Merchants Bank headquartered in Miamisburg Ohio. Clint has worked for F&M Bank since 2008 and received his MBA from the University of Dayton in 2006. Clint enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, serving on non-profit boards and tending his perennial gardens.
Bryan Forney

Bryan Forney currently serves as the Lead Pastor of CrossView Christian Church in Waynesville, Ohio, and as an adjunct instructor in Social Work for Cedarville University. Bryan is the former CEO and Executive Director of Focus on Youth, serving in that capacity from 2015-2021. He was employed with Focus on Youth from 2001 – 2021.

Kamar Beaco

Kamar Beaco brings over 25 years of experience in the social service sector to the Focus on Youth Board of Directors. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director of Family Promise Butler County, a shelter providing support to homeless families. Kamar is passionate about supporting children and families in need. She is particularly proud of her role as a mother of two young adult children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, attending cultural festivals, and traveling.
Brian Woodruff

Brian has 35 years of experience in all aspects of residential construction. Brian and his wife have 7 children and 2 grandchildren. They are former foster parents and adoptive parents of 2 girls. Brian is the author of You Think You Want to Be A Foster Parent and does training and creates on-line content to coach, train and motivate current and future foster and adoptive parents. He leads a weekly support group for foster, adoptive, and kinship parents. He is also a volunteer production manager for the jr. & sr. high students at Crossroads Mason Church.
Rachel Canepa

Rachel has lived and worked in Butler County for the past 14 years. Rachel received her undergraduate degree in Political Science\History from Bowling Green State University, a master’s degree in Criminal Justice\Social Behavioral Problems from Wright State University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Miami University.. Rachel chose to go into social work because she is passionate about helping others and being an advocate for those in need. Rachel enjoys researching and learning about new initiatives and programs to improve the well-being of individuals. In her free time Rachel enjoys teaching yoga, cheering on her three children at their events, helping her husband change an electrical panel, walking her rescue dog, volunteering, or reading a good book.
Kyra Raimey

Kyra and her husband have resided in West Chester, Ohio since 2003 with their three adult children. Kyra graduated from Illinois Wesleyan in 1995 with a B.A. and Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington) in 1999 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Kyra became a Magistrate with the Warren County Domestic Relations Court on January 2, 2023, where she hears all Domestic Relations matters. She is a trained Guardian ad litem (representing the best interest of the child), mediator, and collaborative law attorney as well. Kyra is passionate about every child feeling loved and having the best opportunities in life!
