Many of our Caregiver Trainings are appropriate for all caregivers, including parents in traditional home settings, foster/adoptive parents, daycare providers, and alternative care and respite providers. Classes are designed to help build competencies to meet the needs of children. Many of our trainings are intended to help caregivers learn about child development, child specific trauma needs, and to help caregivers access resources and supports to help families thrive and remain whole.

TCC Module 1: Trauma and Its Impact on the Life of a Child WEBINAR
This workshop will serve as an introduction to trauma competent care and explores how trauma might effect the development of a child.
Beyond Sexual Abuse: Families Can Promote Healing WEBINAR
“Beyond the Birds and Bees” is a two-hour training that focuses on increasing skills around being an “askable adult.”

This is a time to meet other Focus on Youth foster parents, support and network with each other, enjoy a meal together, while learning and growing in your role as a foster parent.
American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED
This workshop will allow for participants to become certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid. The certification is provided by American Red Cross.
