Pre-placement training is the first step to becoming a licensed foster/adoptive parent. Each session is held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The sessions are designed to help you make an informed decision about whether fostering and/or adopting is right for you.
This course, part of the Preservice training series, focuses on how trauma impacts the children in care. Learners will consider what new skills and knowledge they will need to provide appropriate care to children who have been impacted by trauma.
