This workshop will help participants understand Focus on Youth’s philosophy about foster care, including, the importance of permanency for the child, licensing of professional and dedicated foster homes and places an emphasis on not only meeting but also exceeding the state requirements for foster care, in order to focus on the best interests of the child.
Participants will know what to expect when they are offered/receive a placement and will help participants feel more confident, informed, and empowered when they get a placement.
