Qualifications:

Candidates for this position will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling. Must be licensed to practice Social Work or Counseling in the State of Ohio. One year of experience working specifically with youth in a foster care setting is preferred, as well as trauma-informed care knowledge and skills. Counseling experience with victims and perpetrators desired. The Youth and Family Therapist will have experience with groups, individual and/or family therapy and will be skilled in making appropriate assessments. Will train in Play Therapy. The Youth and Family Therapist must complete required background checks including BCII / FBI with no record of forbidden offenses listed in OAC 5101:2-5-09. This is a full-time position.

Tasks may include:

  • Provide individual, group and family therapy as needed and directed by the Clinical Director or Executive Director.
  • Write assessments for diagnostic purposes, for use in court proceedings, or as requested by a referring agency.
  • Provide training to staff, foster parents, and the community as requested.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, as well as develop effective safety and support plans.
  • Coordinate with parties relevant to client’s treatment needs.
  • For those at Collaborative Partnership Sites, coordinate with their staff, provide life skills group services, crisis support, consult, and situational counseling as warranted.

Pay: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
