Expert-led sessions will equip you with practical tools and insights to confidently support the children in your care. Connect with fellow caregivers and professionals to gain valuable resources, and empower yourself to make a meaningful impact. Meets Required Training Topic: Trauma; Mental Health, Independent Living, Child Development; or Elective

This workshop will allow for participants to become certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid. The certification is provided by American Red Cross. Meets Required Topic: CPR & First Aid

This workshop will present information on how to find and utilize community health and social service resources that are available to foster children and families.

The primary purpose of this training course is to educate caregivers in identifying signs and symptoms of illness and contagious conditions, protect themselves from exposure, learn how to respond to an exposure risk, and how to transfer their knowledge to educate family and children in the home.

This support group is designed for Focus on Youth foster parent to connect and support one another.

This presentation covers general poison prevention safety tips for new parents and common exposures during pregnancy, breastfeeding & beyond.

This training will help participants learn about the essential tasks involved with helping a youth launch from the foster home to living on their own.

This workshop will provide participants with a greater understanding of the concept of normalcy, agency expectations, and the responsibilities of their role as a foster parent. Meets Required Topic: Elective

Participants in this training will learn about various ethical challenges that can arise regarding foster parent advocacy, particularly in situations with conflicting interests.

This support group is designed for Focus on Youth foster parent to connect and support one another.

This is a time to meet other Focus on Youth foster parents, support and network with each other, enjoy a meal together, while learning and growing in your role as a foster parent.
