FP Meeting: That Thing Trauma: Addiction, Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences WEBINAR

Please join us for our June Virtual Foster Parent Meeting to learn more about “That Thing Trauma: Addiction, Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences” with Derek Stegner, MS, LPCC. Derek will guide us through a discussion to help us better understand ACEs, trauma, addiction and how they are connected. You will be able to learn of the biological impacts of trauma and gain strategies to become more trauma-informed in your approach to the children in your homes. Please join us as we learn more about substance abuse, trauma and mental health. Derek serves as licensed professional clinical counselor and outreach coordinator at Glad House. Glad House’s mission is to improve the lives of children and their families by breaking the cycle of addiction by helping children, who were impacted by addiction in their families, reach their personal wellness potential (mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically) and lead fulfilling and purposeful lives free from substance abuse.
