Pre-placement training is the first step to becoming a licensed foster/adoptive parent. Each session is held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The sessions are designed to help you make an informed decision about whether fostering and/or adopting is right for you.
This course, part of the Preservice training series, introduces learners to the child protection system and the homestudy process. The differences between foster care, adoption, and kinship care are also discussed.
