Pre-placement training is required for those who plan to become licensed foster/adoptive parents. Each session is held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The sessions are designed to help you make an informed decision about whether fostering and/or adopting is right for you.

This course, part of the Preservice training series, helps learners understand their role on the child protection team as defined by state rules and agency policies. This course also provides an overview of the caregiver’s responsibilities including advocacy, mandated reporting, supporting the Family Case Plan, partnering with the primary family, and meeting the child’s needs.
