Join Chasity Rush MRC, LICDC-CS, LPCC, from Talbert House, for Managing Compassion Fatigue for Supervisors and Setting Goals with Supervisees webinar. This training is for those Social Workers in need of 3 hours of supervisor training for their licensure.
This training will address compassion fatigue concepts and prevention for supervisors. It will discuss both direct experience of compassion fatigue as well as supervision of those who might experience it, including ethical considerations for supervisors to consider. The training will address risk and protective factors, warning signs, resulting impacts, and will specifically emphasize concrete skills to manage and prevent compassion fatigue. Supervisors will learn ways to support and facilitate prevention of compassion fatigue among their supervisees, as well as how to address compassion fatigue in themselves through self-assessment, group discussion and implementation of professional development plans.
Initial discussion on setting goals with supervisees. Goals should be specific, realistic, and measurable. Driven by supervisee, guided by supervisor. Enhanced by using Motivational Interviewing. Feedback as a correcting tool as well as a motivational tool. Practice goal development.
